Backcountry Riding Clinic and Avalanche Practice - The clinic and avalanche practice will be hosted by Luke Youngberg, a true Backcountry athlete. After graduating from college, Luke spent the past few seasons as a guide and instructor in McCall, Idaho with Cody Monroe and CM Backcountry Adventures. Luke has spent several seasons coaching and leading rider's clinic. His ability to quickly identify what skills and techniques will help you to improve, then break them down in easy to follow segments. Luke will then coach you through the process to help you master the skill. His talent to identify those skills and translate them into an easy to follow steps has made him a highly sought after instructor on the mountain. 

Luke's clinic will focus on true backcountry riding skills like, wrong foot forward, side hilling, down hill U-turns, brake control, how to get unstuck easier, and some avalanche rescue practice. 

OSSA is excited to bring Luke and his clinic back to the OSSA Convention on Thursday January 13th and Friday January 14th at Diamond Lake Resort. There will also be a small group ride day on Wednesday, January 12th which is limited to only four riders. The clinics will begin at 9:00 AM.
